Rising water levels in the Mandakini River have triggered flood-like conditions in Chitrakoot’s Ramghat and Nirmohi Akhara areas, with the administration carrying out relief operations.
Due to continuous rainfall in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh, the Mandakini River has broken a 23-year-old record. Several areas, including Ramghat, are flooded, and NDRF, SDRF, and PAC teams are deployed for relief and rescue operations.
Continuous torrential rains have caused flood-like conditions in Satna district and Chitrakoot of Madhya Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, a severe warning of heavy rain and thunderstorms has been issued for 26 states across the country today.
