In Chitrakoot, the Mandakini River broke a 23-year record, creating such a fury that it caused widespread chaos from Ramghat to the surrounding areas. The floodwaters swept away bridges, and submerged shops and temples. Many people were trapped in the floodwaters and are being rescued using helicopters and boats.
The Mandakini River flooding in Chitrakoot has created a critical situation, with over 700 people rescued and NDRF and SDRF teams engaged in relief work. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav called an emergency meeting. The administration is continuously monitoring the situation, and an aerial rescue operation has also been launched.
