FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — The Fargo man accused of holding a knife to the neck of a worker at Loaf ‘N Jug during a robbery is sentenced. 34-year-old Lucas Tavares was given 8 years in federal prison. FARGO, N.D. – Thirty-four-year-old Lucas Tavares, who robbed a Fargo gas station, is sentenced to eight years in federal prison. The Fargo man plead guilty to Hobbs Act Robbery. The charge covers threats of physical, economic and informational harm through extortion. Tavares held a knife to an employee’s neck while robbing the Loaf ‘N Jug on North University Drive near the North Dakota State University campus on March 5, 2024.
