Man rescued after fleeing black bear, falling into B.C. lake

A man was rescued after encountering a black bear while walking on a trail on February 20, according to Mission RCMP.
To distance himself from the bear, the man left the trail and fell into Hayward Lake, as reported by police.
He managed to pull himself onto a stump in the lake but could not return to shore due to conditions, according to police.
