A fatal crash occurred this morning, just before 6 a.m., resulting in the complete closure of southbound I-25 near Mead. The Colorado State Patrol reported that the crash happened around 5:55 a.m. in the southbound lanes near mile marker 243, in a construction zone near the exit to Longmont and Lyons (CO-66). The crash involved a Ford Super Duty pickup truck and a work truck. During the impact, the Ford pickup truck overturned.
