Man struck and killed by car in East Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man is now dead after being hit by a car in East Memphis early Wednesday morning, according to police. Just before 4 a.m., officers say they were driving on Poplar Avenue near Cresthaven when they saw a man unresponsive in the street. A man was killed Wednesday morning after he was struck by a car in a hit-and-run crash in East Memphis, police said.
