Man found sleeping in stolen car rams police cruisers, PPD says – Metro Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AUG 11 – A 26-year-old man crashed a stolen Nissan Maxima into two police cruisers and several other vehicles after waking from sleep inside it, police said.

A 26-year-old man is in custody after he allegedly drove into multiple cars, including a pair of police cruisers, after officers found him sleeping inside a stolen vehicle early Monday in Southwest Philadelphia. Just before 3:30 a.m., officers spotted the man asleep inside the passenger seat of a Nissan Maxima that was parked in a lot on the 6200 block of Harley Street in the Elmwood neighborhood, police said.
