At around 1:50 p.m. on the 2nd, a 119 emergency call was received from a nearby resident reporting that "a man had been stabbed by a deer and was bleeding profusely. He was semi-conscious." The man was transported to a hospital but died shortly afterward. According to the Ashikita Police Station, the man was elderly, and they are urgently working to identify him.
