Man Charged with Murder of Mum Who Went Missing From Dudley 27 Years Ago
Trevor Dunkley, 66, is accused in a cold case that police say began 28 years ago and is seeking witnesses.
Police have charged 66-year-old Trevor Dunkley with the murder of mother-of-seven Patricia Lashley, who disappeared from her Dudley home almost 28 years ago.
Lashley was 33 when she vanished from her Hall Street flat in September 1998, having moved to Dudley in the mid-1990s and using the names Jade, Vanessa, and Tricia.
It is understood Dunkley and Lashley knew one another. Detective Inspector Michelle Cordell stated police seek information from anyone familiar with either individual; call 101 quoting log 3984.
Dunkley remains in custody and is remanded to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Monday, July 13, to face the murder charge.
Officers are supporting Lashley's family to help them find closure after nearly 30 years. Police previously issued a fresh appeal last year marking what would have been her 60th birthday.
