Man arrested in Wethersfield after stealing over $5,000 in library books
WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — A man was arrested on Tuesday in Wethersfield after allegedly stealing over $5,000 in books from the Wethersfield Public Library, according to police. Levi Preston, 50, of Middletown was charged with larceny in the third degree. In December 2023, Preston allegedly stole $5,600 worth of books from the library. He was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 18.
