Artane: Body of Man in 30s Found in House Following 'Incident'
A 60-year-old man was arrested as investigators awaited a post-mortem and forensic examination to determine how the victim died, Gardaí said.
On Saturday, Gardai arrested a man in his 60s after discovering the body of a 38-year-old man at a house in Brookwood Heights, Artane, following reports of a disturbance shortly after 12:30 a.m.
Emergency services responded to the residence early Saturday, where they treated the victim before pronouncing him dead a short time later; it is understood the two men knew each other.
Forensic examination is underway at the house, while a coroner and the Office of the State Pathologist have been notified to arrange a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
Questioning of the arrested man is currently taking place at Clontarf Garda Station as Gardai pursue a definite line of inquiry regarding the incident.
An incident room at Clontarf station has been established, and Gardai confirmed they are not seeking anyone else in connection with the death at this time.
