Mali before the battle for United Nations bases

A large convoy of units of the Malian army headed from the base of the capital Bamako and others in the city of Gao, towards Kidal in the northeast of the country, a region considered a key stronghold of rebels led by members of the Tuareg tribe, the London-based Afrikanjuz portal reported today.
