The Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) reinforced their presence on the Dakar-Bamako corridor in order to secure convoys in the face of terrorist threats. Last week, Senegalese transporters on their way to Mali were briefly abducted by armed groups before being released. To prevent further incidents, the FAMA set up, on Wednesday 10 September 2025, an operation escorting tankers carrying fuel from Senegal.
