A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court directed BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur, an accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, to appear for recording statements from February 27 onwards. The court warned of "necessary action" if she fails to do so. Thakur and six others face trial under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act and Indian Penal Code.
