- They further contended that Section 99 of the Electoral Act 2026 prohibits using state apparatus to disadvantage candidates, alleging the ABSAA fee constructively excludes non-incumbent contenders from public visibility.
- The suit seeks an injunction restraining the defendants from enforcing the fee and from "removing, defacing, destroying and obstructing the placement of the claimants" political campaign billboards within Abia State.
