A 46-year-old man died after being assaulted on 30 June in the vicinity of the Mahébourg market. The autopsy carried out by Dr. Maxwell Monvoisin revealed that his death was caused by the laceration of the spleen. The images of the Safe City cameras in the area showed that the victim was chased by three individuals. The police launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances of this death. Those responsible are about to be identified.
