The Ministry of Foreign Affairs makes unprecedented efforts to respond to 3,000 requests for assistance from the Middle East, but officials recognize that the volume of calls exceeds the capacity of the consular lines.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andrei Žarnea, said that there are about 3,000 citizens who ask for help for repatriation and the authorities pay attention to about 16,000 citizens in the region.
