lululemon Announces Appointment of Tara Poseley to Board of Directors
The appointment follows a cooperation agreement with founder Chip Wilson and adds a veteran retailer with more than 30 years of experience.
Lululemon Athletica Inc. appointed Tara Poseley to its Board of Directors effective Monday, October 19, 2026, expanding the board to 13 members. The appointment strengthens the company's focus on product innovation and brand expertise.
On May 26, 2026, Lululemon entered a cooperation agreement with founder Chip Wilson to end his public disparagement of the company for about 18 months. The company promised to appoint a director with apparel expertise by October 1.
Poseley brings more than 30 years of experience across specialty retail and apparel. She previously served as Lululemon's Chief Product Officer from 2013 to 2015 and held senior roles at Gap Inc. for nearly 15 years.
Twelve of the 13 board members are now independent. Chief Executive Officer Heidi O'Neill, who took the helm in September, recently added directors Laura Gentile and Marc Maurer as part of broader leadership changes.
Poseley aims to leverage her product and brand expertise to reinvigorate the brand and strengthen the company's competitive position. Her insights will support the leadership team in advancing strategic priorities and enhancing shareholder value.
