- Selected from a long list of 89 nominees released in June, the 68 successful SAN-designates underwent rigorous interviews and petition reviews; the LPPC dropped 21 candidates during final selection.
- Among the successful candidates is Kwara State Attorney-General Sulyman Ibrahim, whose inclusion follows dismissal of a petition by former Governor Bukola Saraki, who alleged Ibrahim misused his office's prosecutorial powers.
- Successful applicants must attend a mandatory induction course before the official inauguration scheduled for Monday, October 12, while the LPPC prohibited any congratulatory advertisements or goodwill notices.
