Low-emission zones: how some cities do it

To date, in Hexagon, 25 low-emission areas have been set up in agglomerations with more than 150,000 inhabitants, aimed at reducing air pollution by banning the access of city centres to the most polluting vehicles, and several municipalities have managed to obtain a derogation by introducing alternative measures, such as in Amiens, Douai, Lens and Liévin.
