One of Wales' leading writers, Eigra Lewis Roberts, died aged 86. She was born in Blaenau Ffestiniog in 1939 and lived for most of her life a few miles away, in the village of Dolwyddelan. After going to Bangor University College, he taught for a short time, in Holyhead, Llanrwst and Deiniolen, before turning to writing.
