Lorain City Schools forced to cut 167 staff positions amid multi-million dollar shortfall

Voters will decide on an 11-mill levy in May. The district said if the levy passes, it would have enough money to stabilize its finances. If it fails, the district warned cuts could reach an additional $8 million.
