LORAIN, Ohio — The Lorain City Schools Board of Education voted 4–1 Thursday to approve a sweeping $17.6 million budget reduction plan that will eliminate 167 jobs, cut academic programs including all middle school health and Spanish classes and repurpose school buildings as the district works to remain financially solvent.
