The women behind the effort to place a splash pad in Sleepy Eye, Kimberly Ecker and Cortnie Mathiowetz, were at the Sleepy Eye City Council meeting Tuesday, Jan. 13, to determine if there was support from the city to continue with gathering more information from vendors and asking for donations. They asked if the city would allow a splash pad on city property if they can raise the funds for construction and ongoing maintenance.
