Longtime pastor Charles Godwin dies at 94

Charles Godwin, a longtime Alabama Baptist pastor and associational director of missions, died May 9. He was 94. A native of Clanton, Godwin earned a bachelor’s degree at Howard College (now Samford University) in Birmingham and a master of divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
