Local communities receive state funding for water, sewer upgrades

MAHANOY CITY - Two communities are receiving state funding for water and sewer projects in our area. The Mahanoy City Sewer Authority is receiving a $2 Million low-interest loan from the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority. The funding, legislators say, will support the preliminary and final design phases of a improvements to the 45-year-old sewer plant
