New mural unveiled at M. Clifford Miller Middle School in Lake Katrine

LAKE KATRINE, N.Y. — A formerly empty wall in a hallway at M. Clifford Miller Middle School is now the home of a new mural, the third in a series painted by local artist Jalani Lion. Like Lion’s previous murals at Kingston High School and Ernest C. Local artist wins Youth of the Month award for mural at former school

A local student and artist got quite the surprise to end the 2024-25 school year. On June 27, Echo Boettger, a former Mother d’Youville School student, who graduated from high school this year, received the Chantal Berube Memorial Fund Youth of the Month Award for a mural she painted at the Mother d’Youville art classroom.
