Arrest made, 200 Lego sets recovered following comic store burglary
- Authorities in Alameda County arrested 29-year-old Noorullah Amiri from Livermore on Thursday in connection to a burglary at Crush Comics in Castro Valley, which occurred around 3 a.m. On March 22.
- The burglary at the comic book store, located at 2689 Castro Valley Boulevard, involved two suspects who were captured on surveillance footage stealing merchandise.
- Assisted by the Gang Suppression Unit and Street Crimes Unit, deputies searched Amiri's home and discovered nearly 200 boxes of Lego sets, comic books, and action figures.
- The Sheriff's Office reported that a victim from another Bay Area city had approximately $10,000 worth of Lego sets stolen on Wednesday, with most of the stolen items recovered from Amiri's possession.
- Following the arrest, the sheriff's office stated, "The diligent efforts of the Eden Township Substation Property Crime Unit led to the successful investigation and arrest," and Crush Comics expressed gratitude, asking for information if the suspects looked familiar.
