Legislative 2024: Éric Ciotti expelled Republicans “unanimously” by the party's political office

The deputy for Alpes-Maritimes contests the legality of the meeting at the end of which he was sanctioned for having announced an alliance with the National Rally.

The exclusion of Eric Ciotti from the Republicans, after his alliance with the RN, was decided on Wednesday 12 June, during an emergency summons of the party's political bureau.

The governance of the Gaullist movement is now ensured by Deputy Annie Genevard and François-Xavier Bellamy. An exclusion immediately contested by Éric Ciotti.

While the party headquarters had been closed by Eric Ciotti, all the leaders of the right-wing party declared the exclusion of their president, after the electoral agreement with the RN.

After announcing its alliance with the National Rally, the LR political office decided to exclude its president.

It did not drag on: this Wednesday, the LR executives unanimously excluded their president Éric Ciotti for having made a pact with the RN without having received a mandate. Annie Genevard and François-Xavier Bellamy will ensure governance.
