The Lisbon City Council expressed “deep concern” about the existence of a list of potential targets drawn up by the neo-Nazi group Movimento Armilar Lusitano (MAL), which includes holders of political and municipal positions. The issue also led the Left Bloc to question the involvement of a PSP (Public Security Police) chief, who was on secondment to the Lisbon Municipal Police and is alleged to have links to the organization.
