Lions DB Morice Norris Back with Team, in Concussion Protocol
ATLANTA, AUG 11 – Morice Norris suffered a concussion after colliding with a Falcons player, and the Lions plan a cautious 10-14 day recovery before reassessing his playing status.
- Detroit Lions safety Morice Norris is in concussion protocol, coach Dan Campbell said Monday, after injury during the second half of a preseason game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium Friday, Aug. 8, 2025.
- After a collision with Falcons running back Nathan Carter, with 14:50 left, Campbell and Falcons coach Raheem Morris agreed not to finish the game.
- Medical personnel attended Norris for about 20 minutes before hospitalizing him in stable condition, and players from both teams held hands in a circle after the injury.
- Campbell said they will take it nice and easy over the next 10 to 14 days and reassess, so that's good news.
- Ahead of training camp, Norris flew back to Detroit Saturday and returned to the Lions facility Sunday before facing the Dolphins on Wednesday and Thursday at Ford Field.
