In 2025, according to the Epidemiological Bulletin of HIV and STIs of the Ministry of Health of Argentina, about 6,900 new cases of this infection were recorded. This means that 19 people acquired the virus every day. In the biennium 2023-2024, the national rate was 14.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, amounting to 23.4 per 100,000 in some provinces of the NOA. The same bulletin estimates that 140,000 people live with HIV in the country.
