Ling Chengxing, Former Director of the Chinese Communist Party’s State Tobacco Monopoly Bureau, Sentenced to 16 Years in Prison

19 months after his fall, Ling Chengxing, former director of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration of the Communist Party of China, was sentenced to 16 years in prison in the first instance. He was accused of accepting bribes of more than 43.11 million yuan (RMB, the same below), causing a loss of more than 208 million yuan in state-owned assets.
