The trial officially started in Sittard on Monday, in which Limburgers with a minimum income can travel for free on regional public transport outside peak hours. For the time being, the Dal Vrij Limburg initiative focuses on people with social assistance benefits in Maastricht, Heerlen, Sittard-Geleen, Roermond, Weert, Nederweert and Venlo, but other Limburg municipalities will also join in the near future, the province reports.
