The recent images from a cattle farm in the Bregenz district, released by the VGT (Association Against Animal Factories), are deeply disturbing. Cattle standing ankle-deep in their own excrement, a completely filthy, dark barn, and no discernible lying areas – these are conditions that should not exist in a country with high animal welfare standards. Particularly alarming is the fact that similar abuses were already documented in 2023.
