Letter: Stolpersteine memorials offer hope in a time of despair

Those of you who have traveled to Europe may have “stumbled“ across Stolpersteine or Stumbling Stones. These are 4-inch bronze plaques embedded in the sidewalk and inscribed with “Here lived“ followed by the name and life dates of victims of Nazi persecution.
