Letter: Noisy yard equipment puts damper on summer

I have tried to enjoy a nice summer day sitting outside in my neighborhood, but with the onslaught of noisy gas-powered commercial lawn mowers, trimmers and blowers, it’s impossible. The noise goes on most days. It’s time to require a switch to electric equipment over a reasonable period of time. It would be good for the environment and allow us to enjoy the summer in our backyards again. Maybe there could be some financial incentives to make th…
