I was taken aback by County Executive Jen Metzger’s quote in The Daily Freeman: “I’m not going to stop people moving in for a stoplight,” discussing the possible early opening of the Golden Hill housing project. I hope her breezy dismissal of residents’ safety was simply a poor choice of words — I expect better from her.
