Evergreen is thinking of closing some schools, most of them quite old. A plan would be to sell the closed properties and have homes built on the lots. This would be “found cash” for the district. Vancouver has a 20-year plan with many new arrivals needing housing. These homes would be in established neighborhoods requiring much less cost than a startup development.
