A Lenexa, Kansas man has pleaded guilty in the killing of his wife and son last November.

Todd Donovan pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder as well as animal cruelty on Monday in connection with the November deaths of his wife and son.

Returning from shopping in the Canik district of Samsun, Emine Akpınar and her husband Emrah Akpınar, who is in the process of divorcing, encountered each other on the Karşıyaka Neighborhood National Struggle Street. Emrah Akpınar shot his wife with a gun and then fled. Teams arriving at the scene determined that the woman had lost her life.
