Lecture: What do the texts of Massargues say, a medieval city found by archaeology near Uzes?

The forgotten place of Massargues, in the commune of Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie near Uzès, is an almost unique archaeological example, on a regional scale, of a small medieval town of the Middle Ages. The site was the subject of a three-year search campaign which ended last summer, and illustrates a reasoned urbanistic model, which raises questions as to its origin.
