LEA: Natural Gas, Biofuel and Fuel Prices Rose in Lithuania over the Week

Increased wind and solar power generation last week reduced the price of wholesale electricity in the country by 22 percent, while the price of Brent oil fell by 3 percent on the global market. However, ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and supply disruptions increased the price of natural gas by 3.1 percent, and biofuels also rose in the country, according to the Lithuanian Energy Agency (LEA).
