Michigan congressional candidate sheds democratic socialist credentials

- Jason Cabel Roe, a spokesman for Barrett, called Lawrence "a complete phony," arguing that his departure from the Democratic Socialists of America cannot erase years of what he termed "radical left-wing activism."
- The 7th Congressional District Democratic Committee will host a unity rally on Saturday, where the three primary candidates plan to honor their pledge to support the winner. The event marks the party's pivot toward the November general election.
