‘Last ditch attempt’: Benalla locals in final bid to stop demolition

A historic piece of Victoria’s rail infrastructure is set to be bulldozed this weekend but a determined group of Benalla locals are hoping for a last minute blow of the whistle to prevent the demolition going ahead.

Calling for the resettlement of families, the Just Life Movement asks for “a serious national plan to eradicate new neighborhoods of precarious self-construction, ensuring that current residents can be rehoused in a dignified and humane manner”
