LaserCare Eye Center to Close Irving Office After 26 Years; New Frisco Location Planned for September 1
The practice said it will keep caring for patients at Plano, Southlake and Frisco locations as it expands in North Texas.
LaserCare Eye Center will close its Irving office after 26 years and open a new Frisco location on September 1 at 4645 Wyndham Lane, Suite 190, marking a significant expansion within North Texas.
Sidney Gicheru, M.D., expressed gratitude to the Irving community for 26 years of support, calling the closure "bittersweet" while acknowledging the practice's growth trajectory in North Texas.
The new Frisco facility will offer comprehensive vision services including LASIK, SMILE, and refractive lens exchange, allowing the practice to serve patients in Frisco and surrounding communities.
Existing Irving-area patients will continue receiving care at LaserCare Eye Center's Plano and Southlake locations, with the practice working to ensure a seamless transition.
With the new Frisco site, LaserCare Eye Center will operate three locations across North Texas—Plano, Southlake, and Frisco—positioning the practice to serve a broader patient base throughout the region.
