CO2 laser beauty treatments have become increasingly popular in recent years. Today, the service can be performed by anyone, without any special training requirements – and last year a record number of burns were reported after laser treatments. “I have seen deep injuries that have reached the muscle tissue,” says Augusto Zúñiga Bazán Cerdán, an inspector at the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority.
