Lanzarote’s population higher than ever
Lanzarote’s population now stands at 166,878 – the highest number in its history. The figures, based on the 2025 census, show that 3,648 more people now live on the island than in 2024. 2,248 of those are in Arrecife, which is one the fastest growing towns in Spain, while Yaiza was the other municipality with a big increase of 797 people.
