Mecklenburg-Vorpommern: The Land Council elections as a mood test?

The AfD performs surprisingly well in the state council elections in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. In a circle her candidate is a favorite in the run-off election.

Three key elections, one SPD. This is the result of the Landrat elections in MV. Yesterday a new Landrat or a new Landratin was to be elected in 4 districts.

The AfD candidate wins the first round clearly in the state council election in Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district. Three other counties in the northeast were also elected.

Vorpommern-Greifswald, Vorpommern-Rügen, the district Mecklenburgische Seenplatte and Ludwigslust-Parchim: In four districts the voters were able to cross on Sunday – but only in one the candidate prevailed in the first ballot.
