State, City Officials Unveil Plans For Big, Transit-Oriented Development At Union Station
NEW HAVEN, CT — A dusty overflow parking lot adjacent to Union Station’s garage would become a vibrant neighborhood with dining, retail, and residential spaces under a plan announced Wednesday by state and city officials, including a pair of 16-story towers with 470 new housing units and 28,000 sq ft of commercial and retail space.
It’s full steam ahead for New Haven’s $300 million transit oriented development project
The development will be built on unused land around Union Station — primarily, vacant parking lots. The development will have a mix of residential, retail and commercial space. There will be 470 housing units available, 118 of which will be considered affordable.
