Lamar Jackson Returns to Ravens Practice, but Still Limited because of His Ankle Injury
Coach Jesse Minter said Jackson got limited work and remains day to day as Baltimore manages his ankle injury before Week 7.
On Wednesday, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson participated in limited practice for the first time since spraining his ankle 17 days ago, though his availability for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals remains uncertain.
Jackson sustained the ankle sprain during a Week 4 victory over the Tennessee Titans, forcing him to miss the past two games; the Ravens are 1-1 in his absence, most recently losing to the Cleveland Browns.
Ravens head coach Jesse Minter confirmed Jackson completed limited work during Wednesday's team session, adding the team will only play Jackson when "it's ready for him to be able to play."
Facing the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday is significant, as Baltimore holds an 11-2 record with Jackson since 2018, while the team has gone 0-3 against Cincinnati without him.
Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers noted Jackson is "working every day" to return to the field, and whether he plays Sunday depends on meeting the team's health requirements.
